Interview: Santa Paula
Santa Paula is a pop-electronic project exploring nostalgia, innocence, and self-discovery through shimmering synths and raw storytelling. Driven by a desire to stay genuine, Santa Paula creates music almost entirely independently — writing, producing, and shaping each song with a personal touch. The result is a sound that feels both intimate and universal, music for those moments when memory and emotion collide.
What inspires your music?
Healing inner conflicts.
Who are some of your influences?
Aurora, Grimes, Rosalia, and m83.
What are some of your favorite memories from your career?
When I went to a friend's house and they were jamming, and for the first time, I started making melodies and lyrics on my own without thinking. The next week, I bought my own keyboard and started making music.

Jose Lain: Taught me music theory & does some of my mixing and mastering.
Jerónimo Quintana: We've made songs together for fun.
What are you most excited to bring to your fans next?
I'm excited to bring my inner world and struggles into music, hoping to feel understood and help others feel the same way.
What are your goals for this upcoming year?
Continue performing concerts in the streets and release a new song every month.
